The Best Beaches In Brazil

                                                  Noronha Tide Pool.

According to The Guardian, these are the top 10 beaches in Brazil.

Lagoinha do Leste, Florianópolis, Santa Catarina

The playground of the “young and beautiful,” Lagoinha has rainforests and deserts with sandunes right next to each other.

Bonete, São Paulo

The long path to this beach will take you past waterfalls and untouched coastal forests.

Praia da Fazenda, São Paulo

Deserted beaches, whale-watching and a fresh natural spring safe to drink from. Need I say more?

Arpoador, Rio

At the end of the famous Ipanema, this place is a favorite with local surfers. It also boasts of the Azul Marinho restaurant which has a “fantastic” ocean view.

Caraiva, Bahia

Enjoy laid-back Brazil with mules that pull little carts and lazy beach cafés and of course beach fútbol (soccer).

Taipus de Fora, Maraú, Bahia

Imagine 700 miles of coastline. Now imagine countless, natural reef pools all overlapping one another. Take some time to relax in one after all of that walking.

Praia do Toque, Alagoas

An average ocean temperature of 96ºF, a manatee reserve 20 minutes to the north and tidal pools.

Fernando de Noronha

When the locals single out one beach amongst a country full of them and call it paradise, you know you’re on to something. Noronha is actually a collection of volcanic islands with numerous beaches. The Guardian recommends Atalaia, Baía dos Porcos and Praia do Sancho. Praia can only be reached by walking through a crack in a cliff wall. There are turtles, octopi, and sharks to see in the beautiful shallow water.

Alter do Chao, Pará

Simply put, Alter is “golden paradise.” Everything you want, from secluded beaches to many people (depending on the area), fresh seafood, sports, and small comfortable bars.

Lopes Mendes, Ilha Grande, Rio

Lopes Mendes has very fine, very white sand that meets a very calm blue ocean. No buildings of any kind are here. When visiting, its three hours from Rio and then another hour on a ferry, but to get away from it all, this beach is worth it.
